Coldplay are a British rock group and they formed in the year 1996. Of course, Chris Martin is on the lead vocals and Jonny Buckland plays on the lead guitar. They formed under the name Pectoralz and soon after this was decided, Guy Berryman joined the group and he became their bassist. Soon after this had been done, they then changed their name to Starfish. When Will Champion joined the group, they became the lineup they are today and they have also gone on to achieve worldwide fame with their single Yellow. This shot them to stardom and this was soon followed up by an album which was called Parachutes. In the year 1998 they then renamed themselves again to Coldplay and then they started to rehearse and record for their Eps. The band released three Eps and this includes Brother’s and Sisters, Safety and The Blue Room. Of course, the Blue Room was their very first release with a major label and it is one of the many reasons why they have gone on to achieve so much over the last couple of years.

All in all, the band have released plenty of albums over the last couple of years and they have also released a sixth studio album as well. This received mixed reviews and it topped the charts in 34 countries. This was the bestselling rock album and it is also one of the reasons why they are still so big today. All of the albums they have released since have gone straight to the top and it is also one of the many reasons why they have gone on to achieve so much success over the years as well.
